Krul finally makes it through the draft for lookatme of Tsunami, which helps them pick up the first kill with an early gank. A lot of action around the lane with Krul and Glaive acting as gank threats. Tsunami dive two turrets deep only 9 minutes into the game and secure a kill, but are punished for it soon after keeping the game even at 2-2. Tsunami pick up two more kills with the classic Gauntlet-Dragon’s Breath combo, netting them a turret and gold mine. In one of the final team fights, we witnessed strong gameplay by both roam players with offensive/defensive warhorns, Gauntlet denied by a Catherine stun, and then a Crucible block for the Catherine silence. The fight goes in Tsunami’s favour as Vox is caught out. A swift Kraken and subsequent push takes Tsunami to 1-0 lead in the series.

Result: STsu: 1    SnAv: 0

Both SNOW teams are pulling out some of the most innovative comps we have seen throughout both regions, including Ozo, Petal, and a roam Blackfeather. Tsunami get the first foothold in this game with an ace, goldmine and some damage onto the turret after a slight misplay from Avalanche. Avalanche are repeatedly punished for their over-aggression, handing another ace over to Tsunami. 12 minutes into the game, it’s already looking over as Tsunami reaches an 8000 gold lead. Another ace to Tsunami results in a fourth turret and a Kraken. lookatme on Petal picks up the final three kills of the game as Tsunami closes out the series in a commanding 2-0 fashion.

Result: STSU: 2    SnAv: 0

SNOW come into this round with mutual respect that they will aim to meet again in the finals, but with only one team able to win it appears that they are going all out from Day One. Leveraging a unique roam Blackfeather, Tsunami come out the stronger and showcase exactly what they are bringing to the later rounds with the SNOW organisation looking strong.
