Palmatoro shows everyone why his Krul is to be feared as he begins racking up kills. In what may have been a reckless tower dive by Team Secret, G2K2 get an ace and the kill bounties bring them back into the match. Team Secret pull through a miracle team fight securing two more kills. Mowglie initiates a critical team fight, pulling majestiC into the clutches of his teammates, securing an easy kill, and capturing Kraken off the back of that. With four turrets and the vain crystal remaining, Team Secret leverage the Kraken to push through to a victory. Game One to Team Secret.

Result: TS: 1    G2K2: 0

Another decisive game by Team Secret. Some early miscommunication by G2K2 hands the first kills over to TS. Ringo dominates the lane and picks up a Sorrowblade after only six minutes. Ringo seems untouchable with his positioning and mobility, doing massive crit damage to anyone who gets too close. G2K2 finally manages to pick up their first kill, but only trade one for one and TS takes the Kraken immediately as it spawns. A clean sweep through the remaining turrets and TS take game two.

Result: tS: 2    G2K2: 0

Team Secret have started their title defence in a commanding fashion. They show that no matter what heroes or build paths they choose, they can come out on top. G2K2 moves into the losers bracket, but having to play the defending champions on Day One was a tall order and they definitely have a lot to bring to the table as they fight to stay in the tournament tomorrow.
