This past week, we got the update notes for patch 2.2, a look into the developer’s vision of Vainglory going forward, the release of Grumpjaw’s lore, a new community podcast and a contest for all developers.

Patch 2.2 update notes:

With all the feature teases of the new update, the time has finally come. Update 2.2 will be releasing and with it comes a new default map skin, new hero, a bunch of great new skins, balance changes and more. Read all about it in the official Update Notes.

lore: Grumpjaw:

The first and second parts of Grumpjaw’s lore, ‘Cheesecake‘ and ‘Out‘ have been released. Be sure to check them out to hear about Grumpjaw’s adventure with his newfound friend.

vainglory outlook for 2017:

During the stream of the Preseason Invitationals, featuring some of the best teams battling it out for glory, the Vainglory developers took some time to share with us their outlook on the future of Vainglory for 2017 and beyond. Be sure to check this video out since it has some things many of us have been waiting for, including new maps and a potential 5v5 mode. Do note that the dates aren’t carved in stone but the video does show us what to expect in the coming year.

vainglory api challenge:

With the release of the Vainglory API powered by MadGlory, SEMC challenges you, or a team of 4 to create a piece of software that utilizes Vainglory data. The winners and honorable mentions will receive some great prizes including a Grand Prize of an all expenses paid trip to The Lair to meet the SEMC team, custom Vainglory goodies, 9000 ICE to each member of the team and more.

vainglory community podcast: time for rolling:

A new Vainglory Podcast, Time For Rolling has launched and is available on iTunes, Soundcloud and Google Play. From the Reddit post, TFR is co-hosted by Bleeko, the captain of the guild Sexy People [SMUT] and some guy named arven. Be sure to check it out and give them some love, and maybe even a follow on Twitter!
