Blue Skye

Skye’s most popular build path is Crystal Power due to her incredible damage output and sustain. Her CP ratios are enormous, so you’re more likely to see her built as CP. This build can be played in both lane and jungle.

Blue Skye starts at Level 1 with her A, Forward Barrage, to help her initial clears in Jungle. Overdriving Suri Strike first grants Skye a complete cooldown reset on Forward Barrage and longer duration on Target Lock. Follow up with Forward Barrage for the base damage, as maxing out her ultimate provides less advantage. Coordinate her short Forward Barrage and Suri Strike cooldowns to take over the battlefield in lethal style.

Skye is all about that kiting, so Broken Myth amplifies her ability to do so. Eve of Harvest provides immense healing, which allows Skye to shake off most damage she takes. Shatterglass will increase the damage of her skills greatly.

Halcyon Chargers give Skye the slight extra energy she needs to repetitively activate Forward Barrage and Suri Strike one after another. Frostburn helps against in-your-face heroes like Krul and Blackfeather. Defense is obvious.

Red Skye

With the new changes to the weapon ratio and critical damage bonus on Skye’s Forward Barrage, a crit build has become a more than viable choice. Forward Barrage melts through enemies’ health, and the new Breaking Point stacks up extremely quickly with the damage Forward Barrage outputs.

This build is entirely focused on huge crits, and Skye’s A overdrive in critical in achieving this end. Points in Suri Strike are great for its cooldown and repositioning, but Red Skye should max out her ultimate to be able to spam it as much as possible (often two times during fights) and disrupt enemy paths or potentially stun them!

Core Items

Start Skye off by rushing a Sorrowblade, then a Tyrant’s Monocle. After that, build a Breaking Point. Skye has ridiculously great mobility, so it’s very easy to build Breaking Point stacks from the fringes of a fight, then switch (if necessary) targets and delete them. As above, a Reflex Block should usually be built by the time your opponents turn level 6, as many heroes that don’t have stuns until level 6 get them in the form of their ultimates.

Halcyon Chargers grant Skye better options to escape when abilities are on cooldown, while reducing that time in the first place and granting her moderate energy sustain. Defensive items are the same as above. Build Bonesaw to leverage Skye’s insane kiting potential with intense armor-shredding on basic attacks, sometimes this item will come in place of or before the Core Tyrant’s Monocle. A second Tyrant’s Monocle grants Skye bigger Forward Barrages and generates stacks of Breaking Point faster.
